Jesus Unltd has finished the construction of the first phase of the Christian public school in Koraput, Orissa. The school, which received a name Immanuel, has welcomed 21 students this year. Thanks to the financial support of ministry partners, Jesus Unltd team was able to launch this project and provide children from the poor families with high-quality education.
Orissa, one of the states of India, is the place where severe anti-Christian persecutions took place 6 years ago. Many Christians were slaughtered, injured and lost their houses during that time. As a result of the persecutions many children were left orphaned and homeless. In May 2009 Jesus Unltd has started first family children home for the orphaned children.
This projected, named Orissa Father’s House, celebrated 6th anniversary this year. Two separate buildings were constructed, one for the boys and another for the girls. 18 boys and 12 girls have found new loving and caring family in this project. Now opening a public school for the underprivileged children is a next significant breakthrough for this project.
Construction of the children’s homes and a school was not easy. The construction site was attacked multiple times and newly constructed walls were ruined. The funds were not sufficient for the completion of the construction. Currently Jesus Unltd was able to complete the first phase of the school building and the classes have already started. Please pray for completion of the second final phase.
Jesus Unltd sincerely thanks all friends and ministry partners for their prayer and financial support. Without you we couldn’t do what we are doing.
